Electrophysiology (EP) Services

Electrophysiology is the cardiology specialty that diagnosis and treats heart rhythm abnormalities, or problems related to the heart's electrical system. At Missouri Heart Center, cardiology specialists called electro physiologists use the most advanced technology to detect, diagnosis, and treat arrhythmias. Many arrhythmias can be treated through a minimally evasive procedure called cardiac ablation. Others are treated and controlled by medication, implanted heart devices and/or surgical procedures.

Cardiovascular Surgery

Cardiovascular surgery is surgery on the heart or great vessels performed by cardiac surgeons. Our cardiac surgeons frequently perform surgery to treat complications of ischemic heart disease, correct congenital heart disease, or treat valvular heart disease. As our patient you will benefit from our team's clinical knowledge and years of surgical expertise. Our surgery program offers physicians with expert training and considerable experience in the surgical treatment and management of cardiac, thoracic, and peripheral vascular disease receiving a 3-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

Interventional Cardiology

Anticoagulation Management

Anticoagulants, or blood thinners, are prescribed for a variety of conditions, and regular monitoring and adjustments are necessary to make sure each condition is appropriately treated. Our clinic works closely with referring heath care providers and patients to ensure that patients on these medicines are closely followed in an effort to reduce the risk of complications, such as bleeding, from the medicine. Our anticoagulation management team relies on their vast knowledge and the latest information and protocols to insure our patients remain therapeutic in their treatment.
