Missouri Heart Center actively participates in many national research programs furthering knowledge of heart disease. Diagnostic Services. Missouri Heart Center is pleased to provide on-site diagnostic services for its patients. Tests traditionally performed in a hospital setting are offered and often can be done on the same day as an office visit. Our diagnostic area features state- of-the-art equipment and a highly qualified medical staff. Your physician or nurse will supply details and instructions specific to any testing that might be recommended for you.			Nuclear medicine. For detecting blockages, this form of testing uses tracer injections and a camera to show blood flow to the heart. Enhanced External Counterpulsation therapy. EECP therapy uses cuffs similar to blood pressure cuffs to promote new blood vessel growth around blockages. Echocardiogram and vascular ultrasound procedures. These procedures use sound waves to generate detailed images of the heart's interior and its functioning. Telephonic pacemaker checks. With easy-to-use monitoring equipment, routine pacemaker checks can be performed conveniently by phone. Cardiac catheterization laboratory. A coronary angiogram is an invasive procedure that can be safely performed on an outpatient basis to detect blockages in your heart.
